Project Title: Washington County CDBG Home Rehabilitation Project

I. Introduction

The North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC) is actively seeking bids for our next Washington County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) home rehabilitation project. These projects are crucial in ensuring that low to moderate-income and senior families in our community can remain in their homes, have a safe place to live, and align with our mission to improve living conditions and enhance the quality of life for families in the North Country. We invite you to place a bid for this upcoming project.

II. Project Overview

This project involves the extensive rehabilitation of a 1400 sq. ft. single-family home built in the 1950s as a commercial garage/residence. The home features a block foundation and frame, overhead power supply, and private water and sewer systems. The rehabilitation needs are as follows:

• New roof(s)
• New central HVAC system or mini split system
• Resolution of plumbing issues (domestic)
• Replacement of 5 windows
• Installation of a water filtration system
• Addition of insulation to the attic
• Electrical wiring
• Ceiling work
• Bathroom renovation

A new well and septic system have been recently added to the home.

IV. Submission Guidelines

Bids will be accepted until August 9, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. Bid awards will be announced three business days after the deadline. If you are not interested in bidding on this project, please let us know by the deadline and we will remove you from the contact list for this project.

To participate in the bidding process, please provide a comprehensive breakdown of costs related to labor and materials for each segment of the project. The winning contractor should be prepared to provide NRDC with the following upon being awarded the bid:

• Current Liability Insurance
• Worker’s Compensation
• Lead Renovators Certification

Contractors new to working with NRDC will also be required to complete a Contractor Application.
