SUCF# 161097 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS - BARTON HALLDescription: SUCF# 161097 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS - BARTON HALL Request for Qualifications Cornell University is seeking SOQs from consultants to provide design services for the Safety Improvements - Barton Hall project including but not limited to sprinklers, fire panel, and supporting equipment. Project Description Barton Hall, built in 1915, with a gross square footage of 157,105, is a registered national historic building that has served the ROTC units and military education for over 100 years as well as an armory and airplane hangar during WWI & WWII . This is a heavily used facility, utilized by the contract college students at Cornell. The contract colleges use this building for various activities including large events such as the College of Human Ecologies annual Fashion Show. We currently have 64 students enrolled in our ROTC program from the contract colleges, SUNY Cortland, and SUNY Binghamton. This project will require a comprehensive review of existing services, code requirements, design and recommendations for improvement upgrades. The design may need to be phased due to program activity that limits facility down time. Scope of Services The services indicated below shall include, but not be limited to:

Consultants are required to ensure that good faith efforts are made to include meaningful participation MBE, WBE, and SDVOB goals are listed in the New York State Contract Reporter (NYSCR) ad. The consultant shall provide a Subconsultant Staffing List for the project using the form attached to the NYSCR ad. This subconsultant staffing list shall include the percent of work to be completed by each subconsultant and indicate whether each subconsultant is a MBE, WBE, or SDVOB.
